Kia Australia’s EV range tackles zombie-infested suburbia in new campaign via Innocean

Kia Australia has launched a new campaign via Innocean Worldwide, positioning its new electric vehicle range as the ultimate cars, even in a zombie apocalypse.
The commercials, which launched during the Australian Open, were directed by multi-awarded French director François Rousselet through DIVISION.
Showcasing the EV range’s sound-deadening properties, the spots emphasise features like foam-insulated tires, sound-insulating glass, and whisper-quiet electric motors. These ensure near-total silence inside the cabin, keeping passengers undetected in even the most intense scenarios.
Renowed New Zealand/Australian cinematographer Simon Duggan ASC, ACS was the DOP, with music/sound by MassiveMusic Sydney.

Very strange ad, don’t get it !!!!

This ad is appalling. It is totally tone deaf to what is happening in the world with wars and natural disasters. We see visions of people in distress on the tv news every night. I don’t need to see it during the tennis. The ad is not clever or funny. It is in very poor taste. The Kia vehicles are great cars so why not focus on just that!
Extremely distasteful advert given current world circumstances of devastation in Gaza and then LA fires . Struggle to see what the ad is trying to say 🙃🙃🙃

Phenomenal ad. In all sincerity, the production design, direction, cinematography, performances? Off the chain, down the line of whole cast and crew.
Those little details are amazing! The ad on the fridge for barbed wire, things like that – attention to detail is what makes it. Hoping to hear back from the creators about some of the questions about the lore of the world this is set in. Dying to hear more about the characters in the campaign…

Disgusting ad. The concept is tone deaf given everything that’s happened in the world. The cars are amazing, why not focus on the brand’s style, performance and environmental credentials.
Why has such a successful car maker stooped to his level to promote their cars? The ad shows a huge lack of empathy for people all over the world who are suffering due to wars and natural disasters. KIA stop digging a deeper hole for your brand and look for a new advertising agency!
