Jetstar puts passengers on planes and prawns on plates in latest campaign via Thinkerbell


Move over Santa Claus, there’s a new Christmas hero in town making deliveries. Introducing Prawny, the true blue Jetstar-orange crustacean at the front of Thinkerbell’s latest campaign for Jetstar Australia.


Prawny Xmas is a 9-part animated series that lives on Jetstar’s owned channels, it co-exists to let people know that they can win a suitcase of delicious prawns over Christmas.

Says Alan McIntyre, chief customer officer, Jetstar: “Nothing says Christmas in Australia quite like a bowl full of fresh prawns. But as the big day approaches, the price of prawns goes through the roof. And we all know those dollars are better spent flying to see friends and family.

“It has been another huge year all round. We hope our quirky Prawny Xmas series brings early holiday cheer to Aussies as we all head into a busy festive season!”

Says Shannon Crowe, head tinker at Thinkerbell: “What better way to say merry Christmas from Jetstar than a suitcase full of prawns, and a talking crustacean called Prawny. I don’t think it needs much more explanation.”
