Jetstar asks “Rather be on holiday?” in latest work via Wunderman Thompson Australia

Jetstar has today launched a second installment of its “Rather be on holiday?” campaign in collaboration with Wunderman Thompson, Wavemaker and Sherpa.

The campaign demonstrates how Jetstar enables everyday Australians to make their holiday fantasies a reality – helping them do more and see more for less. From a dad dreaming of chasing thrills while his daughters chuck a tantrum, to a couple picturing themselves on a golf course in paradise while they unblock a busted toilet; Jetstar humorously reminds a country of eager travellers that they can finally, easily go from the everyday to a holiday.

Says Jack Elliott and Lochie Newham, associate creative directors, Wunderman Thompson: “Holiday fantasies have always consumed our daydreams, but in the era of COVID-19, yearning for travel has become even stronger. So, as borders re-open and the country’s vaccination rate soars, we are excited to launch this next iteration of the Jetstar “Rather be on holiday?” campaign.”

Says Alan McIntyre, chief customer officer, Jetstar: “As the festive season approaches, we’re excited that Australians can start planning more holidays, so the launch of this new iteration of our creative comes at a great time. We wanted to bring relatable, everyday situations to life in a humorous way, and encourage people not to wait to book their next trip.”

The campaign will be used ongoing through the line, in Jetstar sales campaigns on TV, OOH, Social, digital, print and beyond.
