The opportunity to pitch for this project and work in real-life industry conditions again tight deadlines was an experience they’re both grateful for, as they were mentored by Billy Blue Creative studio.

Says Mel Feddersen, creative lead and Billy Blue Creative Studio manager: “Having a real client, the parameters of a brief, being accountable for each of the tasks along the way, in addition to great ideas are all part of the learning experience. It’s incredibly rich and the best practice they can get before actually landing in the industry.

“They collaborated with multiple teams and developed their soft skills while seeing how creative projects work in a real-life situation.”

According to Odgers, their winning design for the exhibition celebrates the student voice, takes nostalgia from the past and leans towards an exciting future.

Says Odgers: “The exhibition will showcase emerging talent to the world and unleash potential. We’re more visible than ever before. Who knows what may come from this spotlight, as we grow our reputation among peers and industry?”

Previous student exhibitors have said the benefits of INTRO is the immediate feedback during the exhibition, which serves to motivate and provide the confidence boost they seek, and for some, it has also resulted in a job offer.
