Icon Agency named 2022 Australasian PR Consultancy of the Year at the Sabre Awards

Leading earned creative agency Icon has been named the 2022 Australasian PR Consultancy of the Year for 2022 at the annual SABRE Awards in Singapore.

Icon has also been shortlisted for the Global SABRE Awards in the Digital PR Agency of the Year category.

It is the second consecutive year Icon has taken out top SABRE honours for Australasia – and the fifth ‘Agency of the Year’ accolade for the firm in the past 18 months.

“To win this award for the second time is huge, not only for us but also as a whole agency,” said Icon Agency Managing Director, Joanne Painter. “We have seen massive growth in the company over the last 12 months, including the addition of tech brands MyFitnessPal, Luno and Placie to the agency roster.

The 2022 Asia-Pacific PR Consultancies of the Year are the result of an exhaustive research process involving more than 125 submissions and meetings with the best PR firms across the region.

Icon’s PR work alongside Acorn Strategy for the Australian Pavilion at Expo2020 Dubai has also won the Trade Show category. The team led the Australian Pavilion’s global communications and marketing on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in a six-month period during the World Expo over 2021 and 2022.

“Chris and I would like to dedicate this win to all of our team members who have worked hard in creating an impact and bringing change to the world around us.” said Joanne Painter.

Icon recently celebrated its 20th anniversary by launching its new brand platform ‘For people, with purpose’. This purpose-driven ethos is rooted in the agency’s vision and mission to continuously create a positive impact in the community and people’s lives both socially and environmentally.
