Two things:
1. It might have been more interesting if Sir Martin was actually able to finish answering some of the questions
2. Maybe I’m wrong but Sir Martin’s hands look tiny.
Better to see an interviewer getting their teeth stuck into an interviewee rather than the soft gumming treatment you get on an Australian TV interview. . . . . .
. . . . . and ‘yes’ I am a Pom and ‘yes’ the weather is better over here and ‘no’ I dont want to go back to England on the next plane. . . . .
What a shame to get an audience with one of the industry’s opinion leaders and have him interviewed by an absolute tool. Probably owns a dog and barks for it as well. Rather than focusing on Sir Martin’s salary (which is a matter of public record) it would have been great to get Sir Martin’s insights into the next 12-24 months (which Sir Martin kept attempting to do). Well done for keeping your cool Mr Sorrell. Maybe someone less obsessed with hearing his own voice will complete the interview in the future.
Terrible interview, I’m no fan of WPP but Sir Martin was answering intelligently when he was able to, the interviewer wasnt putting him on the spot he was simply firing rather shallow questions and not waiting a complete answer. Dull not biting 12:16
Oh please. Sure the interviewer was pushy, but when sorrell wouldn’t actually answer the questions he asked, he has a right to cut him off.
Sorrell was like hitting play on a tape form a previous interview from a month ago on bloomberry. He’s simply filling time.
I’m not a hater, he helped pay for my house, bit this interview was less about the current economic situation and more about corporate resposiblity. If you wanna hare about what he thinks economically, see the1/2 hr interview on bloomberry.
12:16 I’m taking it you haven’t watched anything but Today Tonight and A Current Affair since you’ve been here?
Good to see another P.O.H.M.S. cross the shores and have nothing to fucking whinge about.

Oh dear. Who do you believe? Tighten your seat belts (and belts) we’re in for an interesting year!

WPP one of the world’s largest accounting firms:

Interrogates is the right word. Hardly let him get a word in.
Hard Talk should go for an hour, not 10 minutes.

Huh – a Pom in the Australian advertising industry. How novel.
and posting at 12.16 you are obviously unemployed.
I used to share the lift with Marty when he was head of finance at Saatchi’s London.
Can someone please put a boot into that interviewers mouth. What a dickhead! Let the man talk!!!
