Grocery delivery start-up SEND appoints Ogilvy Network in Melbourne as new agency partner

New, ten-minute grocery delivery service SEND has tapped the Ogilvy Network in Melbourne to help it establish Q-commerce in Australia as its creative and strategic agency.

The fast grocery delivery concept has exploded in the US, UK, Germany, Turkey and elsewhere, attracting huge inflows from venture capital funds.

Ogilvy Network will assist with brand building communications, local area and first party data marketing programs amongst other responsibilities.

Says Cory Jimmieson, head of growth, SEND: “We have found at Ogilvy the right blend of experience, expertise and creativity that can be delivered at the breakneck speed required of a start-up in a category that is exploding.”

Ogilvy is supporting a wave of new ‘dark store’ launches across Australia in the coming weeks. SEND already services thirty-one suburbs across both Sydney and Melbourne with many more in the pipeline.

Says Gavin MacMillan, managing director, Ogilvy Melbourne: “SEND is an exciting start-up with bright prospects. We jumped at the chance to be involved with SEND at such an early stage in its brand and business journey. This continues our strong association with Aussie start-ups that want to take on the world.”
