New Moon, a global agency specialising in experiential, events and influencer marketing, has today announced its official launch in Sydney, adding to its presence across New York, Los Angeles and London. New Moon Australia launches with two technology driven foundation clients, Afterpay and Square.

After achieving success in the U.S., New Moon has launched locally with a joint-venture partnership with Bashful Group.

New Moon’s founder, Jack Bedwani, has spent the past decade in the U.S. building a reputation in the agency world. Confirming him as a rising star to watch, BizBash named him one of America’s top 100 Event Designers and has also included him in their ‘BizBash 500’, a list of America’s Most Influential Event Professionals, for the 3rd consecutive year. His leadership and appetite for growth has established New Moon as one of the most sought-after experiential and events agencies in the world.

Over the past two decades, Bashful Group’s founder, Simon Bookallil, has been a driving force behind some of Australia’s most loved events. He co-founded Australian Fashion Week and Bowl-A-Rama as well as being executive producer of Tropfest, Bookallil is now at the helm of Bashful Group, home to leading creative agencies including Bashful, SMILE and TMCPR.

Says Bookallil: “Bashful Group’s vision is to create a network of highly-specialised independent agencies that work harmoniously together to deliver integrated solutions. New Moon Australia’s offer of next-level experiential, events and influencer marketing is the perfect fit for that vision.”

One of New Moon’s key strengths is its ability to give Australian clients complete access to the entire global team, but always led by the A-team in Sydney, client services director, Ema Wakeford and head of events and production, Amy Robinson, New Moon’s former NYC-based head of production.

The New Moon Australia cultural insights team is further bolstered by two award-winning creative strategists, Sydney-based Bashful Group partner Guy Marshall and NYC-based head of cultural strategy and associate partner Xander Tran.

Reflecting the global talent that New Moon has fostered and nurtured in its network, creatives from Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, New York and Sydney all collectively contribute to the best-in-class work that the agency delivers in the experiential, events and influencer marketing space.

Says Bedwani: “Now more than ever, brand relevance is a measurable commodity and our work in the realm of experience design and influencer storytelling has demonstrated that we can move the needle in material ways.

“Everything we do is driven by culture. It’s our North Star. It’s beyond just understanding the zeitgeist; being able to translate cultural trends and movements, societal shifts and changing human values into immersive experiences and memorable content in ways that result in real brand love, that’s a skill. If you’re a brand that is interested in leading, rather than following, we’re for you.

“When we talk about being the agency of the future, what we’re referencing is our belief in the importance of radical humanity as one of our fundamental core values. It means we put our people first because we truly believe that the new world we find ourselves in demands an unwavering commitment to not just output, but the people who are making it happen. The cultural lens through which they see things. You can’t replicate that.”
