Glistening legs, juicy racks and tender loins: BMF launches Spring Lamb Fashion season
Lamb, ‘what everyone’s eating this season?’ is the smouldering new star of the show with the launch of Meat & Livestock Australia’s latest campaign via BMF Sydney, designed to get people in the mood for Lamb this spring.
Spearheaded by a cheeky television commercial, the campaign is a parody on fashion advertising – and is a visually alluring way of reminding consumers that spring is the season to enjoy juicy, tender, tasty lamb.
“Fashion and lamb are a perfect fit as they are both associated withspring — the fashion theme helps showcase lamb’s ownership of theseason,” says Glen Feist, general manager – Marketing at MLA.
“Spring is a great time of the year for lamb as we all know, it?s alsoa great time for fashion. Bringing the two together has given us theopportunity to have fun, be irreverent and celebrate a couple of thingsthat we love about spring”, says Warren Brown, executive creativedirector at BMF.
Opening with a highly-stylised Spring inspired catwalk, the commercialbegins with a model wearing a ‘Yummi Lambaguchi’ rosemary andgarlic-bulb inspired dress, sashaying her way towards the camera asdesigner and fashion commentator, Henry Roth, announces “so let’s get ataste of Spring Glamb”.
This sets the scene for the rest of the commercial which showcases’leggy’ models on the catwalk garnished with dresses from designerssuch as ‘Carva Lambpattie’, ‘Cutlet Dinneragain’ and ‘Valambtino’.
In addition to the TV commercial, advertising for the new campaign willbe featured in high readership food and lifestyle magazines as well asin selected shopping centres and online. Point-of-sale material forretailers and extensive public-relations activities also form part ofthis campaign.

The only ‘cheeky’ thing about this ad is that it came out of the arse-end of a creative.
A Parody of another advertising style, how original!
sorry. really very bad.
Not much chop.
got bored after 7 seconds.
cutlet dinneragain
hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the director should be shot. Could have been quite a nice spot given the right amount of cheek.
I think the satirical plays on designer names and the exceptional, conceptual fashion will be lost amongst the general meat eating public.
It appealed to me from a comedic fashion angle, but not even fashion, nor puns can turn this vegetarian onto meat.
What next? Spring Carnivore???
Ohhhh Jake. Jakey Jakey Jake Jake. Jake-a-roonie. My old Jakearoo.
Not up to your usual high standard mate.
Right on 4.50pm!
This is truly truly sad.
The CD really should know better than allow this piece of mutton to even get out of the agency.
AWFUL!!!!
And yes, a bad bit of CDing
Mutton dressed as lamb.
Shanks a lot.
Anyone notice how there’s absolutely no personal credits to this? Seems like everyone was too embarrassed to put their name on it.
