George Patterson Y&R Melbourne wins ‘Best in Show’ and six Gold Awards at W3 Awards in NY

Mobile Medic promo_ideaboard 1.jpgGPY&R Melbourne beat off fierce competition at this year’s W3 Awards, walking away with seven trophies including ‘Best in Show’ and six Gold Awards – making them the most awarded agency in the world at this year’s show.

 

The W3 Awards honours digital creative excellence worldwide, and recognises the work behind award winning sites, marketing programs, and video content created for the web. This year’s awards featured entrants from across the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

GPY&R won two Gold Awards for the Defence Force Recruiting’s ‘Mobile Medic’ in the Innovative/Experimental category and in the Augmented Reality – Branding category; one Gold for the Defence Force Recruiting’s ‘The Paper Baron’ in the Mobile Applications – Games category and three Golds for the Defence Force Recruiting’s ‘Impossible Airfield’ in the Branded Content: Business to Consumer category, Branded Content: Promotional/Branding category and Branded Content: Not-for-Profit category.

Other Australian Gold Winners included Blue Gum Interactive for its ‘Little Space Heroes’ website in the General Website Categories – Children category as well as the Game or Application – Social/Networking category; Reactive for Nissan’s ‘Nissan FlashForward’ in the Microsite – Automotive category; Brightlabs for ErdiGroup’s website in the General Website – Hotel and Lodging category and lastly SapientNitro for Foot Locker Asia Pacific’s ‘Foot Locker Art Prize’ in the Integrated Campaign – Fashion category and for ‘Earphone Bully’ in the Innovative/Experimental – Activism category.
