Generate celebrates New Zealand’s top performances in new campaign via True

Leading KiwiSaver and Managed Funds provider, Generate, has launched ‘The Generate Performance Report’, a new brand campaign created in partnership with True, that taps into New Zealand’s love of sport while reinforcing the fund manager’s long-standing focus on investment performance.

Inspired by major sporting moments throughout the year, the campaign draws a connection between excellence in sport and Generate’s belief that consistent long-term performance matters.

The campaign launched during TVNZ’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup, where Generate was one of only a handful of advertisers featured across every match. The tournament generated more than 20 million streams on TVNZ+, with the final attracting a peak audience of 761,000 viewers, giving the brand significant national reach.

The football-themed creative was the first execution of The Generate Performance Report, introducing a platform that will roll out across key sporting moments throughout the year, with each execution highlighting a memorable Kiwi sporting performance.

Says Liz Harding, Head of Client Experience & Marketing, Generate: “Performance has always been central to Generate, and as a Kiwi-owned business we wanted to create a platform that lets us celebrate the sporting moments New Zealanders are already talking about.”

The Performance Report videos are hosted by NZ comedy legend Brynley Stent, directed by James Anderson, and feature motion graphics from Kyle Stoffberg of Moves.

Says Paris Smith, Campaign Specialist, Generate: “This campaign allows us to have a presence wherever New Zealand might have a top performance. Brynley was the host of our Centre of Performance campaign, so it was great bringing her back – she brings such good energy.”

Says Jess Reihana, Senior Creative, True: “ Brynley was a great sport on set and Kyle’s magic really brought the spots to life. The Performance Report gives Generate a relevant way to show up around the sporting moments Kiwis care about, while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to performance.

“The only slight worry is if a New Zealand athlete breaks one of the records, because then we’ll have to scramble and do an updated ad (happily).”

The campaign is running on TV and BVOD during sports events throughout the year.
