Gabberish #15: The Culture Issue

Guest edited by Common Ventures Creative Daniel Nutman (pictured), the fifteenth issue of Gabberish, creative therapy for creative minds, is out today.

This issue explores Culture, and features interviews with industry heavyweights: Jasmine Lansdell, The Works Sydney, people and culture director, and Danielle Le Toullec, OMD, global marketing and communications director.

This issue also includes Oblique Strategies to help creatives climb out of a rut; tips on how to be an expert conversationalist, and thoughts on boozing, making it overseas, and the productivity of a four day work week.

This is the third issue of Gabberish to have been created by a guest editor, with more issues due to roll out featuring editors from across the industry over the next twelve months.

Says Nutman: “Culture is so over-hyped at the moment, so the goal was to reveal all sides of it; how agencies cultivate culture, what a good version of it looks like, and what it means to the individual. Plus, there’s some really practical advice suitable for everyone. This issue was genuinely interesting and rewarding to create, I hope a few people get a kick out of reading it.”

Says Lansdell: “Great culture is critical to any agency’s success, but exactly what culture is can often be misconstrued. Culture isn’t yoga and a few drinks on a Friday, it’s something that’s driven by great leadership and cultivated by the people working in the business. So it was great to see that for this issue, Daniel wanted to get under the skin of what culture actually means at a time when agencies are under pressure like never before.”
