FSM_RED_CROSS_TSUNAMI3.JPGSydney post-production and design company, FSM, has partnered with Halo and Mighty Nice to produce three Australian Red Cross TVCs within three weeks.

The ads highlight the vast range of services Red Cross undertakes apart from providing vital assistance during major disasters.

The campaign is aptly titled ‘Doing It Tough’, as creating three 15 second commercials with a mix of animation and live action to deadline was a major undertaking. The three ads were also combined to create one 45 second TVC that is a tapestry of animation styles with a common message.

The campaign launched on Sunday and will run nationally on free to air and pay TV until June 30 2011.

The three companies working together was FSM managing director Rick Schweikert’s idea, “We were approached by creative team Alan Morden and Philip Putnam and were really excited about creating the Red Cross campaign, but we knew getting it done on time to the standard it deserved was not possible. So we thought why not join with two other talented animation companies to produce one commercial each. We were thrilled when Halo and Mighty Nice said yes.”

FSM also acted as executive producers, with Halo and Mighty Nice free to develop whatever style of animation they preferred. Art direction was provided by Morden.
