Former Publicis Mojo CCO Grant Rutherford set for partner role at Matterhorn Melbourne start-up
Former Publicis Mojo Australia chief creative officer Grant Rutherford, who departed the role in November last year, is set to be a founding partner of Matterhorn’s soon to be launched Melbourne office.
CB believes Rutherford, best known for being co-creator of Carlton Draught’s ‘The Big Ad’ while at GPY&R Melbourne, has secured a major Melbourne-based founding client for the new office. (Incidentally, ‘The Big Ad’ spot has once again gone viral over the last two days with over 6 million views on Facebook.)
Sydney-based Matterhorn was founded in April 2014 by Garry Horner and Matt Kemsley. It is understood the Melbourne office will include Rutherford in the agency name, possibly to be called Mattrubbahorn or simply Rubbahorn. Rutherford, AKA ‘Rubba’, is pictured above (right) with Horner at lunch in Sydney yesterday.
