Former Lowe Sydney ECD Melissa Peters launches online eco store glittertrees.com
Former Lowe Sydney ECD Melissa Peters, who left the agency back in February, has launched glittertrees.com, a new online store which hopes to deliver Australian designer fashion, accessories and gifts with eco-spirit to the world.
Says Peters: “GlitterTrees is a new concept in eco-shopping that supports young Aussie Designers with a mission – we plant trees for all our shoppers.
“It’s all about supporting our creative community and designers while living sustainable lives – and ultimately building a forest of Glitter Trees.
“We have teamed up with Carbon Neutral to plant the trees and have also partnered with Rooftop Honey to offer businesses exclusive sponsorship of beehives (given the decline of bees worldwide and the focus on saving them).
“Our new online store is full of gorgeous items from inspiring designers who stand for something beyond their stunning products and collections.
“GlitterTrees’ designers have all taken big leaps to produce the most beautiful items that are rare, often hand-made and always tell a story. We believe the designer items we wear and the thoughtful gifts we give can also have an eco-spirit.
“Looking gorgeous comes hand in hand with feeling good. And now with GlitterTrees.com we can have it all and live in harmony with our environment.“

Glitter Trees? One can only imagine the minutes, perhaps seconds of thought put into creating this brand name.
An admirable Green concept, but who on earth will find the brand compelling with a name that smacks of cheap Christmas tinsel?
I’ve asked every time this pretty lady has popped up on CB – what the hell has she ever done creatively?? Why doesn’t anyone tell me??
Stretchy jacket.
@12:48 in case you hadn’t noticed, this business is full of pretenders.
I don’t know her or her work but on face value she seems very entrepreneurial.
Has the whole tree thing not been done? I’m happy to see that she’s not wearing genuine leather as that means a poor old buffalo’s ass hasn’t had to be hacked off.
Who’s planting these trees then? the arty farty designers clad in Brunoesque leiderhosen.
Nah this is seriously gimmicky, and the name, well need I say more….
Nice glitter trees…..
