Flint enters new era as Executive Producers Petra Valent and Belle Oliva take the reins
Sydney production company Flint has entered a new chapter, with Executive Producers Petra Valent and Belle Oliva now leading the business.
The pair take the reins from founders Rachel Henderson and Andreas Smetana, who established Flint more than a decade ago and built it into one of Sydney’s most respected production companies.
Having worked alongside Henderson for the past five years, Valent and Oliva have played a key role in shaping Flint’s recent growth, overseeing projects across stills, motion and integrated campaigns while building long-standing relationships with clients, agencies and talent.
Together, they bring a combined background spanning agency, production and content, along with deep connections to Flint’s creative community, including directors and photographers Andreas Smetana, Toby Dixon, Jon Bader, David Maurice Smith, Tim Swallow, Stef King, Adam Dionisio and Joel Pront.
Henderson says the transition feels like a natural evolution for the company: “Petra and Belle know the artists, the clients and the work inside out. They’ve been an integral part of Flint’s success over the past five years and I’m excited to see them shape the next chapter of the business.”
For Valent and Oliva, the focus is on preserving what has made Flint successful while evolving the model to meet the changing needs of clients and creatives alike.
“Flint has always been built on strong relationships, exceptional talent and a genuine love of the craft. That remains at the heart of everything we do,” says Valent.
“What excites us is the opportunity to build on that foundation and create new ways for talent, agencies and brands to collaborate. Production is changing rapidly, and we’re focused on making Flint a place where great ideas and great people can come together, regardless of format or platform.”
Oliva adds: “Clients are looking for production partners who can move seamlessly between stills, motion, social and emerging forms of content. We’re excited to continue growing Flint in a way that feels nimble, collaborative and creatively ambitious, while maintaining the care and attention to detail we’re known for.”
Further announcements around Flint’s evolving offering will follow in the coming months.

Couldn’t be happier for the both of you. You absolutely smashed it over the last five years, and I know you’ll smash this next chapter too.
Love working with you both. Here’s to the next chapter and all the great work still to come.
Thanks to everyone for being so encouraging and kind, and thanks to Andreas and Rachel for all the hard work and years you’ve invested into Flint!
