Facebook launches Coronavirus Australian Information Center

Faceboook has launched a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Australian Information Center, a central hub for people to find information and resources from trusted health authorities, as well as actions they can take to stay healthy and support their family and community.

The Information Centre, found at https://www.facebook.com/coronavirus_info/ and also featured at the top of News Feed, includes the latest COVID-19 information and guidance, translated into 40+ languages, from the global and Australian health authorities all in one place.

It includes best practices for prevention and what to do when you’re not feeling well, as well as tips for staying connected while social distancing.

By following the COVID-19 information hub people can get notifications and see updates in their newsfeed from local, health authorities.

Messenger has also launched a new Information Hub to help communities remain connected. The Hub serves as a resource for:

– Best practices for community leaders, educators, and small businesses to remain connected to their people during times of uncertainty

– Ways for parents to keep their kids socially involved with their peers through Messenger Kids
