Global warming of 1.5°C is the world’s climate marker. Beyond that, natural disasters such as floods and fires will dramatically increase – and Australia is already no stranger to such dangers, especially in the last few years. Sustainability is an issue that affects every person on this planet, and it is imperative that C-suites and companies take action. Digital, product and innovation company R/GA has today announced its work with Energetics, unveiling the climate consultancy’s new brand vision: Unite for a 1.5°C world.

Energetics’ new brand positioning reflects the urgency of the cause, and urges corporations, businesses and leaders to once again prioritise sustainability in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as other factors that have impacted bottomlines.

Says Brady Ambler, executive strategy director, brand design and consulting, APAC: “At R/GA our purpose is to create a more human future. Naturally, sustainability is at the heart of it. It’s also the issue that requires mass cooperation and action. C-suites across Australia must have the courage to invest in change.

“Our primary job was first to help Energetics define who they are today, capture their vision, purpose, value proposition per stakeholder group, and the underlying enablers that set them apart and make it all possible. This gave Energetics the clarity they need to rally people internally and externally,” said Ben Miles, VP, Executive Creative Director, R/GA. “With this foundation in place, we reimagined every facet of the Energetics brand: visually, verbally and behaviorally. The end result is a supercharged Energetics ready to power the transformation to a climate resilient, decarbonising world.”

Says Dr Mary Stewart, CEO, Energetics: “Our new identity not only reflects the work we do, but also the urgent challenge we all face to address the climate crisis – to limit warming to 1.5 degrees. For Australian business, that means developing a strategy that lays out a path to decarbonise, to build resilience and to enable innovation.”

With Energetics’ new brand purpose and reimagined approach, it is hopeful about the future of sustainability across Australia. Combating climate change requires the collective to have a stake in the future – and R/GA is proud to have a hand in making a 1.5°C world a reality.
