MOFA has announced the addition of the multi-talented Charlotte Evans to its roster of directors for representation in Aotearoa and Australia.

Evans is drawn to telling the unconventional stories of interesting people. Her approach artfully balances realism and boundary pushing visual expressiveness. Navigating these spaces has led to great success, with much of her music video and film work being featured at local and international festivals as well as awards for her TVC work.

Says Llew Griffiths, EP and co-founder of MOFA: “Charlotte strikes a really nice balance between the reality of her subjects and a striking visual style that enables her to tell great, emotionally driven stories. I also love her authenticity and values which are very evident in all her work.”

Says Evans: “I am stoked to be joining the MOFA team and am already so impressed with their dedication to the craft, their support of their directors and the fact that they are simply just awesome people that you want to be around. It’s refreshing to have a production company that really has their directors back and I am really excited at the prospect of working on future projects together.”

Evans has just finished a campaign for the NSW Department of Communities and Justice which raises awareness and understanding of coercive control and also has a doco ‘Nowhere to Be’ premiering at VIVID this year. Next year also sees the release of her feature doco on co-leader of the NZ Greens party and LGBTQIA+ and climate change advocate Chlöe Swarbrick.
