Australian food and tabletop powerhouse Tasty Pictures, strengthens its niche offering with the hire of tabletop creative specialist Benjamin Flaxman.
Australian-based director and producer, Flaxman has over 20 years of commercial production experience, with a decade specialising in food and tabletop direction. Having worked globally for some of the world’s largest food and beverage brands, Flaxman knows the technical tricks of the trade and how to execute them to maximise appetite appeal for his clients.
Flaxman’s addition to the inhouse Tasty Pictures team will see the offering strengthen as a one-stop-shop for food and beverage agencies and clients, with its specialist team of world class tabletop directors, DP’s, food stylists, food photographers and cutting-edge motion control robot technology, accompanied by internationally trained motion control operators.
Currently housed in the purpose built Tasty studio facility in Brisbane, the two BOLT motion control robots make up a combination rarely seen in the Southern Hemisphere. Thanks in part to the Covid-19 situation, the unique Tasty offering is now even more accessible both locally and internationally, with more readily accepted remote production workflows.
Says Andrew Wareham, managing director and executive producer of The Taxi Group: “The addition of Ben to the core team means a more streamlined offering for agency and client. Ben is a seasoned tabletop director, but also understands the complexities of production, meaning he can always approach a project with maximum creative passion, balanced by a realistic production lens.”
