dentsu Year in Review 2021 Asia Pacific: a series of 10 original, insightful opinion pieces

dentsu has released ‘Year in Review 2021 Asia Pacific’. It is a series of 10 original, insightful opinion pieces, written by dentsu’s regional and brand leaders across Australia, China, Indonesia, India and Singapore.

This year saw a lot of innovative trends that brands brought to the table to enhance consumer experience. Be it in the shopping industry, fashion trends, or MNCs launching new policies, there was – and is – a visible shift in the whole consumption pattern of the people all over APAC.

To bring it to life further, denstu also created a 5-min animation reel discussing the topics listed below, how consumers’ habits towards everything digital evolved in 2021 and how brands stepped up to sustain(ability) and shine:

• Rapidly changing consumer habits in APAC
• The affirmation of the connected world
• Brand conscience

dentsu believe APAC is the power of the future. Being the largest continent in area and population, APAC accounted for around 92% of global mobile 5G subscriptions in 2020, and APAC will be the largest 5G mobile market by 2025. By mid-year, the APAC region accounted for 64% of global mobile app downloads. APAC’s gaming revenue as of June 2021 was $88.2 billion, making up to 50.2% of global gaming revenue.
