dentsu promotes Michelle Testa to Managing Director of Western Australia
Michelle Testa has been promoted to Managing Director of dentsu Western Australia, marking a significant leadership milestone for one of the state’s most respected media and communications leaders. Testa steps into the role after more than 14 years with dentsu.
Recently named WA Ad Person of the Year, Testa has built a reputation for fostering trusted client partnerships, developing high-performing teams and championing collaboration across the broader WA media and marketing community.
Throughout her career, Testa has led some of Western Australia’s most significant client relationships across government, commercial and global brands. She has built enduring partnerships founded on trust and collaboration, including a relationship with Cash Converters spanning more than a decade, while also supporting iconic WA brands such as the West Coast Eagles, Revo Fitness and Murdoch University.
Beyond her client leadership, Testa has become a highly influential figure within the WA industry. She has spent more than a decade contributing to the Oasis Committee, including three years as Chairperson, where she was instrumental in refocusing the industry on the Oasis Ball’s original purpose – creating meaningful social impact, bringing the stories of vulnerable young people to the forefront and strengthening the industry’s connection to community causes.
A passionate advocate for inclusion and future talent, Testa serves as Co-Chair of dentsu’s Women in the Workplace DEI Council, helping shape initiatives that support women at every stage of their careers. She is also an inaugural mentor in the Youngbloods WA Paddle Program, supporting emerging industry talent and helping foster the next generation of leaders in Western Australia’s media, marketing and communications community.
In her new role, Testa will lead dentsu WA’s integrated offering, focused on continuing to deliver growth for clients while strengthening dentsu’s culture and connection to the Western Australian market.
Testa said: “Western Australia is a market built on relationships, resilience and an incredible sense of community, and I’m proud to have spent the past 14 years building my career alongside our people, clients and industry partners here.
“What has always inspired me about dentsu is the belief that great work can create meaningful impact, whether that’s helping clients grow their businesses, supporting positive behaviour change in our communities, or creating opportunities for our people to thrive.
“I’m honoured to step into the role of Managing Director and excited about what lies ahead. We have an exceptional team, strong client partnerships and a business that is uniquely positioned to help brands navigate a rapidly changing landscape. Together, we’ll continue building on that momentum and shaping the next chapter of growth for dentsu WA.”
Chris Ernst, Chief Practice Officer, Media, dentsu ANZ, said: “Michelle is one of the most respected and admired leaders in our business and across the Western Australian market.
“Over more than 14 years at dentsu she has made an extraordinary impact, not only through the strength of her client relationships and commercial leadership, but through the culture she has helped build and the example she sets every day.
“She is a genuine collaborator, an outstanding people leader and someone who consistently uses her influence to create positive outcomes for clients, colleagues and the broader community.
“Michelle’s appointment reflects the trust and confidence we have in her leadership and her vision for the future. I’m excited to see her lead our WA business into its next chapter.”
Testa’s appointment reflects dentsu’s continued investment in local leadership and its commitment to delivering client-first, integrated solutions that help businesses grow in an increasingly complex environment.
