Cummins&Partners strengthens client and creative teams with two senior appointments

Independent creative agency Cummins&Partners has continued its growth with the appointment of Ruby Koia as Senior Account Director and Patrick Marrinan as Content Creator, further strengthening the agency’s client leadership and creative capabilities.

Koia joins the agency after relocating from Auckland to Melbourne, bringing extensive trans Tasman experience across integrated marketing campaigns for leading consumer brands. During seven years agency side in New Zealand, she progressed from reception to client leadership, managing work across tourism, FMCG, energy, entertainment and telecommunications.

Her experience includes domestic and international campaigns for Tourism New Zealand, alongside work for Red Bull NZ, Contact Energy, PepsiCo, Sky Television and Australian campaigns for Optus.

Marrinan joins Cummins&Partners as Content Creator, bringing a strong background in creative marketing, social media and content production. He has worked in creative marketing and social since 2019 and has spent the past three years agency side, joining from Reconnected Marketing.

Cummins&Partners CEO Ben McCallum said the appointments reflected the agency’s continued investment in attracting talented people as the business expanded: “Ruby and Patrick each bring outstanding skills that complement our integrated offering. Ruby has an exceptional understanding of building strong client relationships and delivering integrated campaigns across multiple sectors, while Patrick adds fresh creative thinking and content expertise that will continue to strengthen our creative output.

“As our client portfolio continues to grow, we’re committed to investing in people who share our collaborative culture and ambition to produce commercially effective, creatively outstanding work.”

Koia said she was excited to join the agency and bring her trans Tasman experience to the team: “My experience has given me the opportunity to work across a diverse range of brands and industries, and I’m looking forward to contributing that perspective at Cummins&Partners. It’s an exciting time to join the agency and I’m thrilled to be part of the team.”

Marrinin said he was looking forward to helping create engaging work for the agency’s clients: “Content sits at the centre of how brands connect with audiences today. I’m excited to work alongside such a talented team and contribute ideas and creative that deliver meaningful results for our clients.

“The way people engage with brands is changing every day. Great content isn’t about chasing trends, it’s about creating ideas that people genuinely want to spend time with and share. That’s what excites me about joining Cummins&Partners. The agency has built a reputation for bold thinking, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team to create work that cuts through and delivers real impact for our clients.”

The appointments follow a period of continued growth for Cummins&Partners as the agency expands its capabilities across strategy, creative, earned media, social and content.
