Creative team Andy Segal and Chris Hince join Hardhat as associate creative directors

Following a slew of senior appointments and business wins, Hardhat has added a new team to its ranks. Copywriter Andy Segal and art director Chris Hince will be bringing their creative energy and maturity to the agency as associate CDs to ECD Glenn Dalton.

For the last five-and-a-half years, Segal (left) and Hince (right) were part of Ford’s re-branding and long-term Effie-winning work at GTB. Earlier this year, they gained attention for their spot for Sailors Grave beer.

Says Dalton: “What Hincey and Andy bring to Hardhat is exactly what our growing list of clients are entrusting us to deliver – high calibre, big brand thinking that gets results. The fact that they are also two of the nicest guys in advertising is a bonus.”

Said Segal: “As soon as we walked into Hardhat, there was a real buzz about the place.”

Says Hince: “After a month-long test drive as freelancers, we’re looking forward to kicking goals, getting runs on the board, and really mixing some metaphors.”

The creative addition rounds out Hardhat’s experienced senior team, following the appointments of ECD Glenn Dalton, CD Reece Ryan, client services director Sarah Tukua, and strategy lead Lani Cush.

Hardhat was founded in 2005 by Dan Monheit and Justin Kabbani. The agency, now 40 strong, builds brands through a combination of creativity and behavioural insights. Hardhat clients include Tigerair, Bupa, Deakin University, Simply Energy and Steggles.
