Colenso BBDO promotes Jack Cumming to General Manager
After little more than a year as a Managing Partner at Colenso BBDO, Jack Cumming has been promoted to General Manager.
Cumming takes on a broader leadership role across the agency, focusing on delivering the best creative and commercial outcomes for clients.
Joining Colenso in early 2025, Cumming has led client relationships and new business across a range of Colenso’s local and international accounts. Since March this year, he has overseen the Omnicom Oceania inter-agency team for Bank of New Zealand and has been part of some of the agency’s most creatively effective work – including bringing to life ‘The Lump Lottery’ campaign for Testicular Cancer NZ.
Originally from Scotland, Cumming spent nearly five years at BBH London, working with brands including Barclays, Pernod Ricard and Samsung.
The promotion creates a natural GM pairing within Colenso, with Charlotte Glennon leading Creative, Production and Operations – the other half of the agency’s leadership model. Both report to Chief Executive Officer, Angela Watson.
Says Watson: “Jack made an immediate impression. He brings a combination of strategic thinking, creative ambition, commercial acumen and genuine care for our people and clients. He has a real ability to simplify complex problems, find direction and galvanise both agency and client teams. I’m delighted to welcome him to the leadership team. Hooray for Jack.”
Says Cumming: “When I joined Colenso, I expected incredible work and hoped for incredible people. Quickly I realised I’d found both. To be given the opportunity to join the leadership team and help shape the next chapter of such a special place is a genuine privilege. I’m excited by the challenge ahead – driving the agency forward and delivering more world-class effectiveness through creativity for our clients.
