CB Exclusive – Sydney tutors are lined up for w/c May 10 and the call for Sydney enrolments is now on — see copyschool.org.
There are, as always, just twenty student slots — so be quick if you want to get in.
Copy School 2021 will run for five mornings Monday May 10 to Friday May 14. The fee is $495, payable at copyschool.org. Students will receive a real-world brief on the Monday morning and each student will present their campaign on the Friday morning.
Ray Black founded Copy School back around 2007 in order to encourage highly effective, creative writing. Big ideas that sell big.
For many years, Copy School was generously sponsored and administered by News Media Works but with that entity merging last year with Premium Content Alliance the sponsorship ceased. Accordingly, Copy School has re-opened independently, as not-for-profit Copy School Australia. It is being run pro bono by manager Kylie Hannah and Chair John Bevins in Sydney, and by co-chair Chris Taylor and Kylie in Melbourne.
Both Kylie and Chris have been long involved with Copy School. Ray Black handed the chairmanship to John Bevins in late 2019. Bevins is determined to preserve Black’s vision and its focus on writing standards. Copy School continues therefore with successful copywriters volunteering their time to give back to the industry. With their good grace, the enthusiasm of students and the keen support of Campaign Brief… long may Copy School run.
