Campaign Brief’s The Work 2023: Ranking of the top agencies in each country in the APAC region
This year a total of 192 agencies and production companies in APAC submitted entries to Campaign Brief’s The Work 2023. This is up from 177 agencies and production companies that entered The Work in 2022. This is the 21st year of Campaign Brief’s THE WORK, recognised as a true record of creativity for the entire region, featuring the very best advertising of the year from Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

This year there were over 3,700 entries to The Work with the most entries coming from Australia (1391), Thailand (579), Philippines (503), Taiwan (410), China (397) and New Zealand (370).
TOP 12 AGENCIES IN THE WORK 2023
The best performing agency in Asia Pacific in 2023 is VMLY&R Australia with 34 entries making the cut. VMLY&R Australia has experienced two great years in The Work moving up to #1 this year from #3 overall last year.
#2 overall in APAC and #1 in Asia is Ogilvy Thailand with 32 acceptances in The Work 2023. One of Asia’s hottest creative agencies, Ogilvy moves up from #15 overall last year, but in previous years the agency has always been in the top handful of best performers and ranked #1 in APAC in 2019.
GIGIL Manila moves up two places on last year’s performance, ranking at #3 in APAC with 29 Acceptances.In a strong and consistent creative performance, the agency has ranked in the top 5 in The Work for the past 4 years.
At #4 overall is DDB Australia with 28 entries accepted into The Work 2023. DDB moves up from #12 overall last year
CHEP Australia and Deloitte Digital Australia share the #5 overall APAC ranking with 27 Acceptances each. It is the third year in a row that Deloitte Digital Australia has made the Top 5, ranking #1 overall last year and #3 in 2021.
Independent Australian agency Howatson+Company has 25 Acceptances and ranks at #7 overall in APAC.
Equal #8 ranking this year is shared by BBDO Bangkok, Special New Zealand and DDB Group New Zealand. All agencies have 23 Acceptances. Special New Zealand rank equal #1 in New Zealand with DDB Group New Zealand. In 2022 Special ranked #8 overall and also #1 in New Zealand.
In equal #11 ranking is DDB Mudra Group India and Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan with 22 Acceptances each. It’s the third time in a row that DDB Mudra Group India has been in the APAC Top 12 agencies and the second year in a row that they have been India’s #1 performer.
It’s a strong network performance from DDB with three offices in the APAC Top 12 (Australia, New Zealand and India). Ogilvy and BBDO both have 2 offices in the Top 12 in APAC.

As a country Thailand again put in a strong performance in Campaign Brief’s The Work 2023. This year Ogilvy Thailand regained the #1 ranking agency with 32 Acceptances. In addition to being #1 in Thailand, Ogilvy was Asia’s best performing agency in The Work 2023 ranking #2 overall in APAC.
#2 in Thailand is BBDO Bangkok followed by SOUR Bangkok (#3) and VMLY&R (#4). All four agencies were placed in the APAC Top 20 overall ranking.
