Campaign Brief Creative Circle: What’s hot in June 2026?
Each month, Campaign Brief invites top creatives to choose one standout piece of Australian work made outside their own agency – a space to celebrate the fresh thinking, craft and homegrown creativity pushing the industry forward.
This month’s Creative Circle features VML APAC’s Paul Nagy; TABOO’s Charlotte Adorjan; The Royals’ Daniel Pizzato; Thinkerbell’s Regina Stroombergen; WiredCo.’s Joe Stuart and Willow & Blake’s Bri Nixon (pictured L-R).
Paul Nagy, VML APAC
It’s been a long while since a single, wordless ad has hit me as hard as this work did. Got in under all my defences, all the noise, all my cynicism, and whacked me right in the fears I have about parenting and the world I’ve brought my daughters up in… Beautifully crafted and, for me, haunting. Bravo.
Client: Dairy Farmers; Agency: The Royals; Partner: Team Kids; Neon Artist: Jack Pullen
Charlotte Adorjan, TABOO
I’m a sucker for anything that aims to change the world for neurospicies. Did you know 48% of people in the creative industries are neurodiverse? – I digress….Made By Dyslexia’s new campaign hijacks the search algorithm to change the narrative around dyslexia. The more reviews on their film, the more it rises to the top. Get on it. whatisdyslexia.org.
Client: Made By Dyslexia; Agency: Clemenger BBDO; Director: Kyra Bartley; Production Company: FINCH
Daniel Pizzato, The Royals
A simple, compelling way of dramatising the debt we all owe our mums and using it to drive behaviour. Hopefully it prompted people to do a touch more than pick up the bill at lunch, but it definitely would have reminded enough of them to book ahead. So a win for mums and OpenTable.
Client: OpenTable; Agency: 2045
Regina Stroombergen, Thinkerbell
As a mother myself, I could relate to every one of the things on this receipt. It’s a simple, nicely executed idea that draws you in and really brings to life the huge amount of things mothers do – not just in caring for their children but holding the mental load as well.
Client: OpenTable; Agency: 2045
Joe Stuart, WiredCo.
Who would’ve thought a giant receipt could hit you right in the feels?
‘The BillBoard’ is such an unexpected way to bring Mother’s Day sentiment to life, while effortlessly tying back to booking dinner on OpenTable.
A small thing, made big — turning heads and warming hearts. Nice one.
Client: OpenTable; Agency: 2045
Bri Nixon, Willow & Blake
Plenty of reasons not to do such a naughty campaign, but they knew they had it in the bag. Or little baggie. I love the insight that the product is mysteriously healthy yet addictively delicious, and how they then utilised such a clever grapevine to make sure it felt like a big deal. Literally.
Client: Remedy Drinks; Agency: TABOO
