Campaign Brief Creative Circle: What’s hot in July 2026?

Each month, Campaign Brief invites top creatives to choose one standout piece of Australian work made outside their own agency – a space to celebrate the fresh thinking, craft and homegrown creativity pushing the industry forward.

This month’s Creative Circle features Emotive’s Kat Topp; Apparent’s David Jackson; TBWA\Sydney’s Archana Murugaser; Ogilvy Melbourne’s Joshua Murrell; Cummins&Partners’ Vivienne Johnston; and Clemenger BBDO’s Zenon Predecki (pictured L-R).

Kat Topp, Emotive

KFC’s Go Full Chicken is utter beautiful nonsense. The world is weird, playful and gloriously overcooked, yet crafted with cinematic care. It’s the rare kind of silliness that feels premium. All served with a haunting rendition of an Astley classic. Chef’s kiss.

Client: KFC; Agency: Special; Director: Stefan Hunt; Production Company: EXIT

There is something undeniably simple about this. Special noticed that so much of the outdoor you walk past is for something Uber Eats deliver. So they simply bagged them up, wrapping them in Uber’s iconic green paper bag, turning everyone else’s posters into Uber Eats ads. This kind of work looks effortless and absolutely isn’t. Delivered me bags of jealousy, this one.

Client: Uber Eats; Agency: Special; Media Agencies: JCDecaux, EssenceMediacom

Archana Murugaser, TBWA\Sydney

Call me a sucker, but I still love a great special build OOH. This one by Uber Eats ticks concept, clarity and craft for me. Just the right amount of leap. Just the right amount of ‘I want to touch the bag’. THE FOLDS! I think it’s safe to say Uber ate.

Josh Murrell, Ogilvy Melbourne

June 2026. The world’s biggest advertising festival. The world’s biggest football tournament. So naturally, my pick is the world’s smallest ramen-ya for Sapporo. A wonderfully simple idea, beautifully crafted.

Client: Sapporo; Agency: Sunday Gravy

Vivienne Johnston, Cummins&Partners

As a certified smashed avo addict, I’m definitely a serial avocado bruiser in the produce aisle and never knew the neck is where to check. Even while writing this now, I realise how catchy that phrase is and a mental shortcut for those purchase occasions. This is a great educational piece while supporting Aussie farmers. Deliciously simple, brilliantly sustainable.

Client: Hort Innovation; Agency: Thinkerbell; Production Companies: Odd Studio, We Know Video

Zenon Predecki, Clemenger BBDO

As an industry, sometimes we forget the main bit of our jobs is to make things stand out. Well, these wonderful sunzabiches did their job.
