Cadbury appoints Ogilvy Melbourne as new Australia and NZ creative agency partner
Ogilvy Melbourne has been appointed the full service local agency for Cadbury ANZ and will take on local Cadbury and Cadbury Dairy Milk campaign responsibilities in Australia and New Zealand.
The brands include Favourites, Roses, Coco, Old Gold, Cherry Ripe, Picnic, Twirl, Crunchie, Boost and Moro.
Over the coming weeks, the businesses will work through the transition from existing Australia and New Zealand partner, Saatchi and Saatchi.
Ogilvy remains Cadbury’s partner agency in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Canada. This now consolidates partners working on the Cadbury brand in the region and globally.
Ben Wicks, global brand director, said the business was looking forward to evolving the creative direction of the brand and creating some truly exceptional work.
Says Wicks: “Cadbury is one of our most iconic brands and we’re excited to partner with VCCP and Ogilvy to write the next chapter in the brand’s famous advertising history.”
For the past five years Saatchi & Saatchi has been a valued partner and delivered many successful campaigns including Cadbury Dairy Milk ‘Joyville’ and ‘Dominos’, Easter ‘Dawn Bunny, Cadbury Coco ‘Where will you go?’ and more recently Cadbury Favourites ‘Everyone gets their favourites’.
We wish them all the very best for the future and thank them for all the great creative work we have delivered together.
VCCP London has been appointed the global lead for Cadbury Dairy Milk.

HIRE ME
Was it a pitch, or global alignment?
Huge pitch win and well done Ogilvy Melbourne. Looks like you’re back !! Forget @jk;s litle attempt of jealously – lets get a Rhonda and Khetut for Cadbury.
thank goodness – I am sure we have all had our fill of appalling Saatchi ads
Another FMCG food brand aligned into WPP, they must eat so well.
Congrats Melbourne team from your Sydney partners. This was NOT a global alignment but a hard fought pitch win.
Well done Oglivy! I’m sure it was hard fought win. Look forward to seeing your world class work on a world class brand.
To those who are kicking Saatchi’s while their down you need to grow up. We’ve all gone through business loses and know what pain ache they cause an agency. No need for it. Chin up S&S.

It was a global alignment, you know it, so stop trying to make out that this was local pitch win. It was a global pitch that was won by VCCP London, neither Saatchi London or Ogilvy London won that pitch. That’s the fact. The client consolidated the business into Ogilvy because you have the business in Canada, Africa & Asia and VCCP Sydney are a 20 person agency with 1.5 clients. You’ve got a lucky bounce here, so stop trying to make out that you won this based on merit, it’s a consolidation. Ask the client if you’re unsure.
Go Ogilvy.
