Buddy Films director Harry Sanna’s short film ‘Yellow Jack’ receives finalist nods

Buddy Films director Harry Sanna has been receiving attention of late for his writing and directing efforts on ‘Yellow Jack’, a satirical and homage-laden fashion short film.

Produced in collaboration with Chic Talent Management and a number of major fashion labels including CAMILLA AND MARC, Aje, COS and Auteur, the project recently made The One Show shortlist and is a finalist in the upcoming 43rd AWARD Awards.

Filmed on location aboard a decommissioned 1960’s frigate in Sydney harbour, ‘Yellow Jack’ spins a tale of madness and mutiny on the low seas. Following a skeleton crew of mariners as they while away their days on a quarantined vessel, the film is a tongue-and-cheek romp aimed squarely at a Covid-weary world.

Says Kathy Ward, co-founder and director from Chic Management: “We collaborated with Buddy Film’s Harry Sanna and asked him to write and direct a content piece that would stand out from the usual fashion advertising – highlighting not only some of our favourite brands but also to showcase the enormous talent on our roster. We are so thrilled with its success.”
