Blundstone appoints iD Collective to lead PR and influencer communications

Heritage Australian footwear brand Blundstone has appointed full-service communications agency iD Collective to lead its strategic PR, media relations and influencer communications activity in Australia.

Says Amanda Booth, Executive Director of iD Collective: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Blundstone, one of Australia’s most recognised heritage brands. Blundstone has built an incredible legacy while continuing to push boundaries through collaborations that keep the brand fresh and relevant with new audiences. We look forward to bringing our fashion and consumer expertise across PR, media relations and influencer strategy to help tell that story and continue to build the brand’s presence.”

Founded in Tasmania more than 150 years ago, Blundstone has grown into one of Australia’s most recognisable global footwear brands. Built on a legacy of craftsmanship and durability, the brand continues to expand its cultural footprint through partnerships and initiatives that introduce its heritage to new audiences.

iD Collective has kicked off the partnership with the launch of Blundstone’s limited-edition collaboration with Amsterdam-based streetwear label, Pop Trading Company. The campaign showcases a contemporary interpretation of the brand’s iconic Chelsea boot, debuting three distinct styles that explored the tactile qualities of hair-on cow hide.

Under the new partnership, iD Collective will deliver a comprehensive communications program spanning media relations, a reactive press office and strategic brand storytelling. The agency will also lead organic and paid influencer activity, alongside ongoing media and influencer gifting to strengthen Blundstone’s presence across fashion, lifestyle and culture communities.
