BCF reminds Australians they’re stuck in the best place on earth this summer in latest brand campaign via The Monkeys, Melbourne
With international holidays off the cards this summer, BCF’s new campaign ‘You Couldn’t Be Anywhere Better’ via The Monkeys Melbourne, is reminding Aussies if you can’t be anywhere else, you may as well make the most of it here.
The outdoor retailer’s new campaign celebrates how international travel bans are making holidays in the Aussie bush even more enticing.
Directed by Tony Rogers and produced by Guilty, the campaign looks on the bright and summery side of what has been a pretty yucky year.
The campaign spots are accompanied by BCF’s much-loved anthem, and show Aussies having a cracking time in our idyllic landscapes, in contrast to some pretty bleak international locations.
Says Ben McConnell, general manager e-commerce and marketing, BCF: “A deep love for the Australian outdoors is at the very core of our brand. There is no better time to celebrate being here, than this summer.”
Says Ant Keogh, chief creative officer, The Monkeys Melbourne: “It’s been a crazy year, so in true BCF fashion we’ve taken the opportunity to have a bit of anthemic fun with the situation.”
‘You Couldn’t Be Anywhere Better’ is set to launch across broadcast television and on social throughout summer.

Shit
I want one.
Funny.
Trying way too hard, but it still doesn’t move you.
The original campaign was far better.
But it’s still a killer branding line. The best thing to come out of Clems Melbourne’s Golden Period.
This is kind of bland
That we accept this as a job well done….
Love this campaign
They’ve created one of Australia’s better brands.
If you think BCF’ing Fun was the best thing to come out of the Clems Melbourne Golden Period then you are smoking crack.
I wasn’t just smoking crack, I was up to the apricots in it.
To each his own.
I also liked Magic Salad Plate.
Regular folk will love this.
There’s anthemic fun and then there’s anthemic fun.
What are they trying to sell? Think the product might get a touch lost in this ode to COVID-19 travel restrictions being ok.
I love it. How about when dad goes hard in totem tennis, too funny!
Reckon normal Aussies will like this.
This is funny as.
Are you Nuts? Bitter? Insane? – this is the best campaign in Australia today for mine.
It’s always funny, totally linked to the product, and just like the great old
Mojo jingles of days past – you find yourself singing it out loud.
It’s a classic. Great fun – if anybody seriously thinks this is anything but great, they are
kidding themselves.
And should go and jump in that bceffing billabong. Well done Ant and Monkeys.
@the awful truth
Gee, forgive me for having an opinion. Or the ability, like many others on here – to discern a decline in the X factor in this GREAT CAMPAIGN.
King of right place, right time.
But, sort of…just nice, because the tone of the voiceover/singing is a little flat.
If you’re going to Mo & Jo, mo Mo’ it!
I love this BCF’ing platform, but the execution of the voiceover/song/jingle lets this well shot, cast, and executed spot down a tad. I understand the ‘understatedness’, but perhaps there could have been a little bit more ‘stated-ness’, perhaps?
Anyway, carry on.
Tell you what, pitching a tent next to a group of Swedes is a bit of BCF’n fun.
The best place on earth?! Where is this magical watering hole?
Can we please try and make good looking ads again
Totally awful.
I don’t always comment, but when I do it’s usually on Hugh Gurney ads.
It’s going to be a huge journey to do anything else than ads like this
BCFin’ absolutely love that line. Where’s the writer (creatives?) in the credits?
This is a great campaign
It’s a little bit of 2020 Mojo at its’ best.
Well done.
I like it.
Lots of little gems in it, and a firm, yet fun, reminder of how good we have it down here.
There’s a good idea in it, it’s just poorly executed. It’s quite an effort to make Australia look so grim, at least shoot it in a beautiful spot.
Wallpaper.
It’s also weirdly ugly. If you’re trying to make a point about how great the Aussie bush is maybe pick some spots that are actually nice to look at?
Props for getting Mark Nicholson to munch down on the bat though, dude is hilarious.
Not up to the standard of the original.
