Bastion Banjo snares Andrew Henderson from BWM Dentsu Sydney for client partner role

Bastion Collective’s creative and digital agency, Bastion Banjo, has appointed Andrew Henderson as its new client partner, who previously held senior roles at BWM Dentsu Sydney as group account director and client partner for five years, and at M&C Saatchi prior to that.

Henderson has over 15 years’ agency experience developing strategic creative and integrated communication across most verticals for clients including Toyota, NBN Co, Westpac, Optus and Maserati. Henderson has worked in ad land his entire career, starting out as a dispatch clerk for George Patterson Y&R.

The appointment comes as Bastion Banjo recently welcomed new managing partner, Alex Carr, also from BWM Dentsu, back in October this year as Andrew Varasdi transitioned into a new role as executive chairman of Bastion Banjo.

Says Carr: “We’re really excited to have Andrew join the team. He is not only a brilliant suit. He is also a great down to earth bloke who has already seamlessly fit into the Banjo culture.“

Says Henderson: “I’m thrilled to start the next chapter with the team at Banjo. It’s great to be back in a truly independent business. To be able to service clients properly with the skills in Banjo and the wider Collective without the BS that comes in a larger network. It’s just better for everyone.”
