Bamboo Marketing appoints Amelia Speechley to deputy GM role amid double digit growth

Shopper experience agency, Bamboo Marketing has promoted from within, appointing Amelia Speechley as deputy general manager amid a year of double digit growth.

Speechley has been with Bamboo Marketing for over eight years and moves from an account director role into the new role of deputy general manager. Prior to Bamboo, Speechley worked at Compco Digital and The Consortium Clemenger.

Bamboo Marketing sees the appointment as an opportunity to allow the agency’s operational and client excellence to remain at the forefront and to sustain the growth of existing and new clients.

More recently, the agency has attracted new clients such as 4 Pines, Bear Nibbles, Boss Coffee, Celebrity Cruises, Cointreau, INC.C Payments, Lotus Biscoff, Sierra Tequila and Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Through shopper marketing, promotions, social and digital media, influencer marketing, content production, brand partnerships, sampling, sponsorship and experiential marketing disciplines.

Says Nigel Hickey, group managing director, Bamboo Marketing: “It’s crucial for us to recognise and reward our people and this promotion acknowledges Amelia’s almost decade-long commitment to the agency and shopper marketing industry, well overdue and much deserved.

“We’ve seen exponential growth from a number of different client categories over the past 18 months, with shopper marketing and promotions continuing to be a strong driver. Amelia has been a key stakeholder in our success over that time.”

Says Speechley: “I knew from the moment that I joined Bamboo that it was such a unique and special agency. We are a team who is proud of what we do as well as who we do it for. We are a tight knit bunch and to be given the opportunity to lead such a strong and supportive team is really an honour. I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge and am looking forward to the exciting opportunities ahead!”

Adds Hickey: “However, it’s not all about shopper marketing and promotions this year, the team are currently in production on several sponsorship and experiential marketing projects for summer, and it’s great to be bringing back live experiences to market, albeit through a COVID lens.”

Bamboo Marketing will also be relocating to new corporate offices in September this year. For more information about Bamboo Marketing please visit: bamboomarketing.com.au
