Australia ranked #3 most awarded country in the world in The Directory Big Won Rankings 2015; Leo Burnett Sydney ranked #12 creative agency
The Directory Big Won Rankings 2015 has just been released which reveal that Australia is ranked #3 most creative country in the world, up from #5 last year, and Leo Burnett, Sydney is ranked #12 creative agency.
The campaigns contributing to Leo Burnett Sydney’s total were Canon ‘Shine’, which was named 7th best Integrated Idea in the world; Samsung ‘Life Live’ (with Starcom Mediavest) was named 8th best Media Idea in the world; Bundaberg Rum ‘Men Like Us’ was named 8th best radio idea in the world; and WWF Australia ‘Tigers’, ‘Sharks’, ‘Rhinos’ was ranked #6 most awarded Poster campaign.
Optus ‘Clever Buoy’ via M&C Saatchi Sydney was ranked #3 most awarded Integrated campaign and #7 most awarded Mobile campaign while Ardmona Australia ‘#MyFamilyCan’ via Leo Burnett Melbourne was ranked #8 most awarded Integrated campaign.
Melanoma Patients ‘Melanoma Likes Me’ via GPY&R Brisbane and Melbourne was ranked #4 most awarded Innovative Campaign; Melbourne Writers Festival ‘Twists & Turns’ via JWT Melbourne was ranked #9 most awarded Mobile campaign; and Public Transport Victoria ‘Donation Posters’ via GPY&R Melbourne was ranked #5 most awarded Outdoor/Ambient campaign.
The Directory Big Won rankings have been published since 2003, edited by Patrick Collister, former executive creative director of Ogilvy & Mather London and currently creative director of The Zoo at Google London.

I don’t know a lot about this but from the outside it looks like a good way for clients to understand which agencies spend the most on award entries? The more you swing the more you hit?
Hi Phil, you may be right but my understanding is awards are equally as important to clients. Especially those chasing ‘marketer of the year’ or ‘CEO’ titles.
Clever Buoy still to this day is a prototype.

Can you remove awards if the case studies are proven to be inaccurate?
