Audio Network artist Racing Birds, performed an exclusive pre-release set for Sydney creatives ahead of their latest album Let The Sunbirds Fight Till The Death.

Sydney-based duo Bobbie Lee Stamper and Jeremy Strother are musicians and songwriters known for creating gritty, retro-inspired music that blends alt-country, rock ‘n’ roll and bohemian blues.

On Thursday the 14th of September Audio Network invited a select group of lucky Sydney creatives to celebrate the upcoming release of Racing Birds’ album Let the Sunbirds Fight Till The Death.

At Surly’s American Tavern, in Sydney’s Surry Hills, the band treated guests to an exclusive pre-release performance, playing a selection of tracks from the new record. Their foot-stomping set captivated the audience and created an electric atmosphere.

Surly’s set the scene for Racing Birds’ performance with guests transported to an ‘American’ Saloon complete with whiskey barrels, neon signs and even a stage with a tin roof! In true tavern style, sliders and fried chicken were washed down with maple brown butter whiskey cocktails while shuffleboard games were hard fought over.

You can live out the same experience by checking out the event’s highlight video below.

Racing Birds’ album Let The Sunbirds Fight Till The Death is out now on the Audio Network catalogue. Listen to it HERE.
