Assisterhood 2024 applications open to mentees as program expands overseas

In an exciting expansion and with a fresh new look, Assisterhood is putting the call out to mentees from Aotearoa and wider Australia to join VIC, NSW and QLD programs in 2024.

Aspiring mentees outside the program’s existing capital cities and across the ditch will be able to apply for the Online program.

After identifying a gap in the market back in 2018, Assisterhood founder Linh Diep says of the program’s growth: “Expanding makes so much sense. No matter where you live, everyone deserves to be able to access Assisterhood, and we’ll continue to build on this year on year. The calibre of mentors this year is second to none.”

Now in the program’s seventh year, mentees have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders in a six month mentorship that values quality over quantity. Past mentees include Colleen Gao – head of Askable UK, Anais Read – 30 Under 30 Grand Prix winner, Tish Jenkins – assistant accountant at Focus Features, Kayla Malss – head of agency at Allies Management and Clare Farrugia – performance director at Hatched.

The recent Info Night was a success; with 200+ attendees and special guests including mentor and mentee pairings Souad Saied and Vicky Stewardson in NSW, and Jessamy Ross and Claire Bass in QLD who spoke about their experience in the program, while Assisterhood COO Polina Shilenina and NSW state lead, Charlotte Goodsir shared insights into the intricate application process.

Attendees also gained early access to applications.

Says Shilenina: “I’m so excited about making Assisterhood accessible to people all over Australia and Aotearoa. Our Online mentors are all exceptional – and this is just the beginning!”

Assisterhood strongly encourages people of all backgrounds and identities to apply for the 2024 program. The application process takes approximately 20 minutes.
