The latest limited edition from Ardbeg gives whisky and dog lovers alike the chance to celebrate the untamed spirit of Ardbeg and its beloved canine mascot, Shortie. A new campaign and promotion has launched, developed by Endeavor Global Marketing.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, Shortie’s Ardbeg bone gift pack is the daddy of all whisky gifts, and this year the Distillery has an additional treat in store for its fans. To celebrate Father’s Day, Ardbeg is offering Australians the opportunity to have a bottle of Ardbeg delivered to the special man in their life by Shortie himself.

Available exclusively through Dan Murphy’s, consumers can order the Ardbeg Father’s Day whisky and dog delivery online from 12PM today, but they’ll need to be quick, as the offer is extremely limited. For people who miss out on the delivery, the Ardbeg Shortie limited edition gift pack will still be available to purchase nationally.

This one-of-a-kind collectable gift edition replicates Shortie’s most prized possession – his bone. Buried inside fans will find a prized possession of their own, a bottle of Ardbeg Ten Years Old – man’s true best friend. Ardbeg Ten Years Old is the Distillery’s flagship whisky and an expression that the Distillery is proud to celebrate.

Said to have the peatiest nose on Islay (apart from Ardbeg that is), Ardbeggians revere Shortie just as much as they do Ardbeg’s whisky. The feisty Jack Russell is somewhat of an icon on Islay, and like the Distillery’s visitors, he can often be found nosing in and around the warehouses.

Says Mickey Heads, distillery manager: “Shortie is a bona-fide Islay icon. He is just as much a part of Ardbeg as our whisky is. There’s no better way to celebrate Father’s Day than having the hound himself deliver your whisky. When it comes to the bottle inside, Ardbeg Ten Years Old has stunning briny notes that bring a welcome taste of our Distillery’s long association with the sea. Alongside the familiar power of smoke and peat, that salty tang is perfectly balanced with sweetness.”

The Ardbeg Father’s Day Whisky & Dog delivery is available to order exclusively through Dan Murphy’s online from August 12th at midday for $99. Delivery will take place across Sydney and Melbourne metro postcodes on Father’s Day weekend on (August 31st & 1st September).

The experience includes the Ardbeg Shortie limited edition gift tin containing Ardbeg Ten Years Old, and a personalised Father’s Day card delivered by a Jack Russell.
