CHEP Network has announced the appointment of Anna Cherry as chief media officer overseeing the growth of the agency’s media capability.

Cherry joins from Spark Foundry, where she led the agency’s strategy function nationally, supporting its position as the fastest growing agency in Australia based on billings growth.

Over the course of her career, she’s held senior leadership positions at some of Australia’s most successful media agencies, providing strategic leadership and counsel to a host of local and international clients, including ANZ Bank, Carlton & United Breweries, Australian Federal Government, Toyota, Westpac Group and more.

Among her many accolades, Cherry was honoured by Campaign Asia on its Women to Watch 2022 list and its 40 under 40 2021 list. She was named B&T’s Best of the Best Strategist of the Year 2021.

In addition to her new role, Cherry will be joining CHEP’s executive leadership team, supporting the continued growth and development of the agency.

Says Lee Leggett, chief executive officer, CHEP Network: “It’s always a privilege to be able to attract people of Anna’s calibre into our business. She’s incredibly talented, well respected by her clients and peers and importantly, she’s a great person. We’re looking forward to seeing the impact she has on our people, product and clients.”

Says Cherry: “The opportunity to play a role in further strengthening the CHEP Media brand within an agency that works at the nexus of media, creative, data and technology is tremendously exciting.

“To do that alongside incredible leaders and good humans who are ruthlessly focused on effectiveness and well crafted execution is a privilege.”
