Al is dead? I’m stunned, he was such a gentleman. How did this happen?

Thankyou 3.04 am. I went there and noted how appreciated, perhaps special, he was to so many people. Today will now be a longer day.
This is a great thing!!!! To celebrate Al’s photographic influence on the ad world in Oz and across the planet.
I wish I could be there to celebrate Al. He was a great photographer, great surfer and great friend.
Miss ya mate.

Looking back it’s a mess of memories and impressions. Alister was more than a world-class photographer, he was a good husband, a great father, a true friend and not a bad surfer. I still recall the last thing he said to me was, “up yer shitter!”
I knew Al and had the pleasure of surfing with him in younger days.
We went on a surfing road trip up the east coast and had many good times together.
He was a very accomplished surfer, great guy with a great sense of humor.
In his surfing days his nickname was Buzzard, sad to hear he is gone.
Im sitting hear remembering buzzard, such an awsome guy, very sharp wit and a wicked wicked laugh, loved his family and his art, was always there for a mate, really good surfer, loved a party, been out there somewhere for the last 9 years nearly, checkin us out, hated margarine though, miss him greatly, rip? Not likely,. Live ya mate.
