adidas encourages the world to go ‘one more’ for the planet in global campaign via Augusto

adidas has launched a new campaign via Augusto NZ, that shows people from all around the world gamifying how they play through the Move For The Planet activation.

From a professional trying to break a world record, to an everyday person wanting to be able to run around the block without needing to stop. It’s normal to create a goal in sport to help you progress further.

To launch the next instalment of Move For The Planet – an adidas sustainability initiative that rewards users with a 1 Euro donation for every 10 minutes of movement they log on the adidas running app – adidas challenged people around the world to go “one more” for the planet. With all proceeds going towards building sustainable sports infrastructure in areas that are susceptible to extreme weather conditions.

The campaign launched with a film that shows people from all around the world gamifying how they play through the Move For The Planet activation. With each person using the words “one more” as an excuse to keep going – to keep enjoying how they play, and to keep the places they enjoy playing in.

Shot by London-based director, Samona Olanipekun, the film featured a range of adidas partners from around the world, including Great Britain’s Olympic Gold Medallist diver, Tom Daly, Portuguese footballer, Joao Felix, and USA skateboarders, Jenn Soto and Mariah Duran.

The hero film is supported with cutdowns that show people across a range of sports moving for the planet – including running, skateboarding, cycling, hiking, diving, football, and yoga.

World-renowned Italian photographer, Allesandro Simonetti, brought the campaign together with a beautiful suite of images that captured the emotion and movement across each of the sports. These moments are used globally across everything from retail and in-city activations, to digital and social assets.

On top of encouraging people to move in this year’s activation, the campaign also featured a documentary film that showed the real-world impact that last year’s activation had. Shot in San Pedro, Xalostoc in Mexico City, where a new multisport court has been set up to give women in the area a safe place to play while also collecting rain water to help irrigate the local drought-stricken football pitch.

The campaign rolls out across digital and social from 2nd May.
