Adelaide agency Brabben House launches ‘Pitches and Pints’ to support the local founder community
Adelaide creative agency Brabben House is shaking up the traditional business event format with the launch of ‘Pitches and Pints’, a new initiative where high-stakes startup innovation meets a relaxed pub environment.
Developed by Brabben House founders Ben Howell and Brayden Curtis, the event was created as a direct way to give back to the local founder community. Rather than pitching behind closed boardroom doors, entrepreneurs get the stage where it matters most: right at the front bar.
Says Ben Howell, Co-Founder, Brabben House: “We wanted to strip away the intimidating corporate stiffness that usually comes with pitching. Founders work incredibly hard building great things, and sometimes they just need a platform to share their vision, connect with the right people, and have a good time doing it. Pitches and Pints is about bringing the community together over a drink and letting great ideas speak for themselves.”
The stakes are high, with some of the biggest names in business stepping up to the plate as judges for the evening. Competitors will face a panel of seasoned industry leaders who know what it takes to scale, offering real-time feedback, high-level insights, and serious exposure for participating startups.
Says Brayden Curtis, Co-Founder, Brabben House: “The response from the community has been phenomenal. We have heavy-hitting judges joining us, and the energy from the founders signing up proves there’s a real hunger for events that are both high-calibre and genuinely fun.”
Pitches and Pints is designed to bridge the gap between emerging innovators and seasoned business leaders, proving that big ideas don’t always need a stuffy venue to take off.
The next event will be held on Wednesday 25 November 2026 at the Kent Town Hotel, 76 Rundle St, Kent Town, with networking from 6:00pm and pitches from 6:30pm. Founders get sixty seconds at the mic, with no slides and no application form, before three finalists and one winner are chosen. The event is free to attend, whether pitching or watching.
