Adelaide ad industry’s She Creates announces new committee, new structure for 2024

She Creates has exciting plans for 2024. With a new committee and revamped structure, She Creates is poised to elevate its impact and support for women in the Adelaide creative community.

Since its inception in 2019, the volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation has been dedicated to inspiring, promoting, and representing women in the creative communications industry of Adelaide. She Creates has grown and evolved, becoming a pivotal force in empowering women in the creative communications sector.

To reflect this evolution, the organisation will soon be introducing its dynamic approach for 2024. Under the leadership of Co-Chairs Amy Lambert (above left) and Elise Rundell (above right), She Creates welcomes a dedicated team of industry professionals committed to driving positive change within the community. Amy Lambert, owner of Creative Studio, Make Create, a founding member of She Creates and a seasoned veteran of the Adelaide Advertising & Design Club (AADC) brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role.

Alongside her, Elise Rundell, Marketing Manager at Studio Nine Architects, steps into the role of Co-Chair this year. Rundell brings passion and innovation to the organisation, having been a key contributor since 2021 driving She Creates’ sell-out events such as ‘Deep Dive into Design’ speaker event and the micro-networking Net-series.

Joining them are Hannah Pendlebury, Chair of Communications, and Manuela Mazzaferro, Chair of Events, both of whom bring a unique blend of skills and enthusiasm to their respective roles. Together with the newly formed subcommittee comprising Alisha Rout, Sarah Anesbury, Renee van der Hoek, and Sarah Lufthaus, She Creates is poised to deliver an engaging and impactful program of events and initiatives throughout the year.

The team wish to thank outgoing Co-Chair, Dena Vassallo and the rest of the 2023 committee for their contributions and dedication throughout the previous year.

To foster further collaboration and synergy within the industry, She Creates will work closely with the AADC in 2024. The four Chairs of She Creates will also sit on the AADC Executive Committee, facilitating greater alignment and opportunities for growth.

The AADC recently announced a new Co-President for 2024/25, the Business Development Manager of Fuller and Man About Town, Paul ‘PK’ Kitching. PK takes over from outgoing Co-President Joe Godsell from TBWA\Adelaide and credits him and all past AADC Presidents for the current buoyant status of the Club. He sits alongside Co-President Nic Eldridge of Super Studio, who also designed the soon-to-be-revealed new visual branding for She Creates.

“As we start this new chapter for She Creates, we are excited to deepen our partnership with the AADC and explore new spaces for collaboration,” said Amy Lambert, Co-Chair of She Creates. “Together, we want to empower and support women in the creative community. It’s important to us that we drive positive change and foster a culture of inclusivity.”

Members of She Creates, and the broader creative community can look forward to an exciting calendar of events and networking opportunities throughout the year, along with access to expert mentors and resources to support their professional growth. The first of which being the She Creates ‘anti-corporate’ International Women’s Day event on March 7th at Hotel Alba.

The event promises to reject corporate stuffiness, inflated ticket costs and the ‘tickbox’ nature that this important occasion can often harbour. Instead, it will be a cause to truly connect with other industry creatives in a beautiful, relaxed environment at an affordable price.

“We are really excited to unveil our plans for 2024 and invite women far and wide within the creative communications industry to join our community,” said Elise Rundell, Co-Chair of She Creates. “With our fresh new look and the strength of the new committee we’ve brought on board, we’re confident that this will be our best year yet.”
