Stu Turner, Celia Wallace and Brendan Collogan launch creative-growth company Three Are One

Bringing together decades of experience across global agencies, corporates and consulting, Stu Turner, Celia Wallace and Brendan Collogan have launched Three Are One – a new model designed to solve “wild problems”.
Says Wallace: “We’re excited to officially launch Three Are One. The problems businesses face today are often hard to define and even harder to know who can solve them. They demand new approaches – ones that think across boundaries, not within them. Three Are One is about uniting strategy and creativity together as one system – built specifically to take on wild problems, and deliver purpose-built solutions that create growth.”
Together, the founders combine deep expertise across brand, business and creativity – Wallace with deep customer and brand expertise, Collogan with a career defined by delivering profitable growth across diverse industries and within large corporations, and Turner with world-class creative credentials and a track record of cultural and commercial impact.
As revealed by CB on September 1, Turner exited VML after two year in the role of Group ECD. Turner joined Wunderman Thompson Australia (now VML) just over two years ago in the role of national ECD. In June last year, his remit expanded to include creative leadership of both VML Perth and Brisbane. Before that, he served as ECD of Edge following four years as National ECD at The Royals across its Melbourne and Sydney offices following a stint as ECD at VML in his hometown of Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to VML, Turner was group ECD at DDB Melbourne Group, and before that ECD at Havas Sydney.
The business has already attracted nine clients globally, including The Washington Post, Medibank, AHM and News Corporation – and recently secured Brickworks, Australia’s largest building solutions group. Three Are One will also announce a major win soon highlighting their credentials in artificial intelligence with one of the world’s leading technology companies.
“What I’ve always loved about our industry comes down to one thing: we solve problems,” says Turner.
“But those problems have evolved – in their complexity and in their makeup – while many of the systems and processes to solve them haven’t. Three Are One is our way of trying something new for today’s market, built to take on what we call ‘wild problems.’
The real proof, though, is seeing the model already working – proven in the clients we’ve won and the momentum we’re building. And best of all, building it alongside Celia and Brendan – brilliant, forward-thinking and kind people – is a dream come true.”
