Westfield brings on the magic of Christmas in newly launched festive campaign via Sibling
Sibling has created a new campaign video for Westfield in support of its 2021 Christmas campaign, ‘Bring on the Magic,’ inviting customers across Australia and New Zealand to celebrate the festive experience on offer at Westfield Living Centres.
The 30-second spot, created by Sibling and directed by James Chappell at Playtime / Photoplay, teases Santa’s imminent arrival to 42 Westfield Living Centres across Australia and New Zealand, with a carpark painter undertaking a special rooftop project.
Says Penny Buck, executive creative director, Sibling: “There’s no doubt that after another tough year, we’re all more than ready for a bit of merry. With this year’s campaign, we wanted to funnel that feeling into some fancy footwork and create a spot with pure and simple joy at its heart. And with the big man touching down at Westfield, we’re bringing a whole new meaning to painting the town red.”
Says Oliver Lawrance, executive producer, Photoplay: “We are pleased to partner with Sibling and Scentre Group on a film that is an invitation to the holiday season and the man of the hour himself.”
The campaign will run on BVOD, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Spotify.

Come on…not another dancing ad
Dancing.
About the 5th dancing ad in a week.
Dancing
make it stop. make it stop.
No more dated uncool 90s choreography please
Look, this isn’t amazing, but it’s fresh as hell for Christmas work. (If you squint there’s even something a bit self-deprecating about Westfield even mentioning parking at Christmas). Any ad that spares us product, VO and cutesy shit deserves a back pat. And shut up on the dancing – as if you all haven’t been creaming your jeans over the Burberry work.
did you really just try to compare this to the Burberry work. It’s like comparing the royal ballet and a cheesy cabaret show.
It’s just like this!

But not good.
For a brand that would have been hemorrhaging money this year, this looks slick. And isn’t another box ticking montage.
This is more 50s musical style dancing, not 90s at all… aka Gene Kelly. Yep dance is not original but this film is a lot of fun & I like it
Charming. Covid safe shoot. Low budget. And not a Xmas montage ad. Hats off.
The talent spends the first 10 seconds walking through the line he just painted.
This is less cringey than that awful Chub dancing ad this week.
This is a good effort, simple singular idea related to client and not the usual bland montage or budget John Lewis wannabee.
Not at all good.
