Renault Australia launches the All-New Kadjar medium SUV with new brand campaign via Big Red
Renault Australia has launched a new campaign via Big Red to drive aspiration for the French marque in Australia, and to support the launch of the All-New Kadjar medium SUV.
The film features a young couple living free. Its provocative tone is underpinned by the soundtrack ‘Catch Me If You Can’ by Melbourne group Desert Belle. It takes on a lifestyle-driven theme and is set in amazing coastal and rural vistas, including the Jackalope Hotel.
The campaign continues the highly successful ‘Make The Move’ platform for Renault Australia.
Says Terri Golder, GM marketing communications, Renault Australia: “2020 is going to be a big year for Renault Australia, as we have an almost completely new line-up coming across the range. The launch of the Kadjar is just the beginning.”
The film captures the inherent playfulness of the Kadjar, the perfect vehicle for spontaneous and evocative experiences a younger, style-seeking audience desires.
Says Golder: “This is a brilliant campaign, beautifully shot in a way that really captures the Kadjar’s distinctive European flair, Apple CarPlay and premium audio amongst many other features.”
The campaign was directed by Jessie Oldfield and Adam Murfet of CKOL with still photography by Andrew Vukosav. OOH, shot by Isamu Sawa and post by DBG Digital, has stepped away from category conventions to create an alluring neon treatment that captures the Kadjar’s unique and vibrant design.
The creative launches in early January and will appear across screens (OTV, social, cinema), premium OOH and digital channels.

Ummm, does she pop a pill half way through?
I’m sure that’s just a mentos she drops at :16.
I like a well pressed pinger, but my jaw doesn’t so much.
…and now Blue Renaults. Callin’ it.
Best comment I’ve read on here
Play Sandstorm (Radio Edit) from the beginning of this ad (maybe a second or 2 delay). It lines up beautifully.
Metal looks good.
Didn’t expect but it’s actually pretty good.
You’d think the boss of Renault Australia would show some support. Who is it these days???
Small SUV millennials will like this. Car looks amazing.
Australian flavour all over. Well done Renault..
Loving it all over! What a delicious colour.

Oh, come on! Seriously? I usually discount comments that claim any positive reactions must be from the agency, but in this case any positive comments MUST be from the agency. This is just another car commercial, says nothing, shows the same exterior shots over and over again, sound track could be for anything, the whole thing could be for any car brand, including and especially Renault’s competitors.
Where’s that chandelier room at 0:14? It looks awesome…
Is the ad industry so utterly bereft of ideas that it can produce this sort of idealess generic papp and then, without a scintilla of embarrassment or shame, actually promote it on this site?
Yeah. Thats terrible.
@Not So Fast and Reality Check – right?! Sorry, it’s a very basic car ad. What’s the idea?
