72andSunny Sydney executive creative director Nic Buckingham departs after only six months
Nic Buckingham has departed 72andSunny Sydney after six months in the role of Executive Creative Director.
Buckingham’s exit follows that of former Chief Creative Officer Wez Hawes, who joined OUTSIDE IN as Creative Partner in June.
Buckingham was appointed ECD in May, joining the Sydney leadership team alongside Managing Director Sophie Sykes and Executive Strategy Director Alexandra Nel. At the time, 72andSunny CCO International Justine Armour said the appointment reflected the agency’s ambition to keep raising the creative bar in the Sydney market.
Buckingham brought two decades of experience spanning advertising and entertainment in Australia and the US, with past collaborators including Ryan Reynolds, LeBron James and Taika Waititi.
CB has approached 72andSunny for comment on Buckingham’s departure.
