The Brand Agency picks up Agency of the Year gong at Campaign Brief Perth Awards; St John Ambulance named Advertiser of the Year
845 people from the Western Australian Advertising and Media industries gathered under a huge big top circus tent last night for the gala 2015 Oasis Ball and Campaign Brief Perth Awards.
The big Campaign Brief Agency of the Year award went to The Brand Agency, who narrowly edged out Marketforce.
St John Ambulance picked up the prestigious client gong – the Campaign Brief Advertiser of the Year award. In addition to international and national accolades, their commercial “Break the Barrier” was a winner in the Television Single category. A print campaign also won Best of Year in Print Campaign.
The Campaign Brief Advertising Person of the Year was awarded to Meerkats’ managing director Gavin Bain (pictured below) for both his personal success over the past 12 months and his contribution to the industry and to mentoring the Perth Advertising and Design Club.
Other big winners on the night were:
Media Agency of the Year – Carat.
Carat very narrowly edged out Initiative in this two-horse race. Both documents were equally impressive from a business performance. 2014 was a year of strong growth for Carat and it is fitting that as managing director Alan Matthews reaches the twilight of his distinguished career, and with the retirement of Tom Martin, that they win the Media Agency of the Year.
Media Organisation of the Year – Southern Cross Austereo.
A dominant performance in our poll of Perth’s media planners and buyers.
Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) of the Year – Bell Booth Advertising & Marketing. A great year for Bell Booth on several levels saw them edge out Adzoo in a tight decision.
Supernova of the Year – Kylie Macey (right) from Adcorp.
The Supernova of the Year Award recognises outstanding young people who have the potential to be the future leaders of our industry.
The creative award winners were:
Integrated Campaign – Danny Green’s “Coward’s Punch” by Shed.
Television Advertisement – St John Ambulance “Break the Barrier” by The Brand Agency.
Radio Single – Canning & Tuart Colleges “Jerk – Pickles” by Marketforce.
