VMLY&R Brisbane appoints Guilherme Pecego to associate CD role; Mignon van Weeren joins the agency as director of broadcast and content
In a period of strong business growth, VMLY&R Brisbane has announced the expansion of its creative and content production capabilities with senior appointments. Guilherme ‘Guido’ Pecego has been appointed to the newly created role of associate creative director, while Mignon van Weeren has been named director of broadcast and content.
Partnering with recently promoted associate creative director Chelsea Parks who started with VMLY&R at the end of last year, Pecego joins from Hong Kong where he has spent the past four years as creative director at McCann Worldgroup. His 15 years experience leading and delivering integrated campaigns also include CD and associate CD roles at TBWA\Worldwide in Dubai, as well as senior creative roles with JWT, DDB and Agencia3 and McCann in his native Brazil. During his career, Guido has worked on some of the world’s most widely recognised brands including L’Oréal, Volkswagen Emirates and Coca-Cola. He has also worked on numerous award-winning campaigns with recognition at Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, One Show, ADFEST and in the Guinness World Records three times over.
Mignon, a BAFTA award-winning producer with significant international broadcast production experience in commercial, television and radio, joins from her role as executive producer – film and photo at global design agency KISKA in Austria. Over the past two years, Mignon has led and grown the team at KISKA by producing innovative and emotive branded content for their global client base. Her background includes time at McCann Erickson in London, as well as branded content and broadcast roles with the likes of National Geographic, Discovery Channel and the BBC.
